Wirth’s circus, hippodrome, and menagerie of performing wild animals will again be on view in Dunedin on Monday next. Wirih Bros, always bring something new, and tin’s year the principal novelty will be the tiger act It is claimed that this is the first time in the annals of circus history of a tiger performing the bounding jockey act on horseback, and also of two tigers being harnessed like horses to a chariot and driven round the ring by a third. The Press speak of tills' act as a most daring and thrilling performance. The riders, acrobats, gymnasts, clowns, etc,, were personally engaged by the proprietors on their recent travels, when they visited every country in the world. The proprietors are both Australians. While in Southport, England, on 13th luay, 1898, they had the honor of performing before and being complimented by His Majesty King Edward YII. (then Prince of Wales).
