DIX’S GAIETY COMPANY.

Only a really first-class entertainment could attract a'large audience on such an evening as last night, and it says much for the popularity of the Gaiety Company that a full downstairs and good upstair* audience greeted their final appearance at the Princess’s Theatre. lire principal attraction of the programme was undoubtedly the marvellous Craggs, who are without except ion the most clever acrobats of the day. Their feats last evening were astounding, appearing as they did to set all Lews of gravitation at defiance, and they elicited enthusiastic applause. The Craggs appeared in Dunedin last evening for the late time, and proceeded to-day to Christchurch. The ventriloquial entertainment provided by Keildersou, in addition to being highly amusing, was an accomplished exposition of the ventriloquia lart. The other member* of the company acquitted themselves in * astisfactorv manner in their special lines, and to the entire satisfaction of an appreciative audience. The company return to the Alhambra Theatre to-night, when, it is announced, the same freshness and variety will characterise the performance a* hitherto. While notifying this fact during au interval last evening Mr Dean manager) said that nothing but clean aed unobjectionable performances would fe given.
