The weekly meeting of the Hope nf Ravensbourue Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held in the lodge room on Monday evening, Bro.- J. Shanks, C.T., presidii The election of officers for the new quarter resulted as followsßro. d. Wilson, sen., C.T.; Bis. Tail, ALT.; Bro. "dock, secretary; Bro. A. Mullcnger, assistant secretary; Bro. J. Wilson, marshal; Bro. C Christensen., deputy-marshal : Sis, Connor, superintendent of the Juvenile Temple; Sis. AVarburton. chaplain; Bro. Connor, guard; Sis, Connor, sentinel; tiro. J. Connor, treasurer; Bro. B. Page, financial secretary; Bro. J. Shanks, sen., past chief templar, Bro. J. Shanks, sen , was recommended for lodge deputy, and Bro. AV., Jack electoral deputy. Sis. Jack was re-elected organist. A vote of thanks was accorded to Bro. A. Mullenger for his reporting work. The lodge ajputy installed the officers. Harmony was contributed by Bros. J. Shanks ami Connor, Sisters Warburton and Connor (songs). The votes were responded to by Bros. .1. Wilson (Alliance), Layton, and S. Clark (Hope of Dunedin), At the la,st meet fig of Court Bride of Dunedin, A.0.F., Senior Auditor Bro. H. Youngman read the balance-sheet and! auditors’ report, which, considering the large amount paid for sick claims during the pas t year, show a very favorable result, last year being the heaviest for sick claims over experienced by this court, £4Bl having been paid to sixty-four members; and, in addition to this sum, £227 has been paid as bonuses to members on attaining the age of sixty-five, or at death. The total membership is now 268, with an invested capital of £8,497, yielding interest annually of £438; the value per member being over £3l. The court still hold the proud, position of being the wealthiest one south of the line.

The South Otago District Lodge. 1.0.0.F,, held their monthly meeting in Rattray street Hall on Thursday. The lodge was opened by Degree Master Bro. C. MTeak. Two brothers received the second degree. The District Deputy Grand Master (Bro. das. Patti son) presided over the district meeting. Representatives of various lodges were, present.
