MELBOURNE, February 12. it is proposed to pay bonuses equal, to £60,000 on the manufacture of galvanised wire netting and iron and sted pipes, and £3 apiece oil reapers ar4 binders. The wire netting bonus continues for three years, tlie reapers and binders boms for two years, and the pipes bonus fwr five years. The intended duties now on the tariff will have i<o effect until these bonuses ceasa.

The House is considering the iron duties. Mr Kingston said thai, the Government would probably devote a. quarter of a million to the establishment of the iron industry, ami £20,000 to assist zmc production.
