THE NINTH CONTINGENT.

CAMP NOTES, Forty-two horses came into camp this rooming, and with a few exceptions they are a, good lot. Two extra men joined the battalion thi* morning, the Ml strength at present being 479. Sixty men were serfc down to the ranges this morning for shooting practice. The men were engaged in dwmonniwl parade to-day. Everything is working very smoothly. Colonel Kobin, accompanied by Captaia Bates, visited the camp this morrimg.
