LATE MINING.
The owners of the Stirling dredge at Glenorc have succeeded in removing all chances of further litigation on the part of those farmers whose land adjoins the river by working in dams, or lagoons, as it were. These lagoons are systematically fed with fresh water from races, and none of the polluted water is now allowed to find its way into the river.—‘Bruce Herald.’
