CHRISTCHURCH, February 11. I understand that no offers have yet been made to supply tbe Imperial Government’s order for oats. Middlemen state that the terms are unworkable.

Tbe Premier is still in communication with the Australian Premiers as regards the army meat contracts. Mr Seddon fears that the contractors, notwithstanding the undertaking that they will draw supplies largely from Australasia, will get cheap meat from the Argentine.
