BERLIN, February 9. (Received February 10, at 9.6 ajn.)
Vice-admiral TTrpitz, German Minister of Marine, speaking in the Reichstag, said that it was impossible to postpone till 1910 commissioning additional ships. He estimated that the yearly increase in the naval expenditure after 1906 would be eight million instead of six million marks ‘'about £300,000), as provided in the Navy Bill of 1900. The ensuing discussion elicited <’he fact of Germany’s intention to | lice tear battleships, with additional crowrs and gunboats, on the China station.
