WESTINGHOUSE INSTALLATIONS.

In view of the fact that portion of the plant for our electric tramways will coma from the American firm of Westinghonse, it may be of interest to note that this firm have supplied the largest generators in the world actually running—viz., the ten 6,000 horse-power now installed at Niagara Falls, America. Apart from generators, the company have installed over 60,000 horse-power in static transformers, rotary transformers, motors, etc., for the above plant, and there are in course of construction in their shops, or being installed, the following apparatus; Traction.

St. Lawrence Power Company, Massena 150 000 Shawingan Falls Power Company ... 75,000 Missouri Transmission Company, Montana 60,000 Metropolitan Electric Supply Com25,000 pany, London City of London Electric Lighting Company, London 10,000 The company were also recently awarded the contract for the electrification of the Metropolitan District Underground Railroad. The generators will be over 7,000 horse-power, and the generating station over 100,000 horse-power.
