CONCERT AT WAITATI.

'fibe tSeacliff Asylum Dramatic Clnb journeyed to Waitati on Saturday evening last and gave an entertainment in aid of the funds of the club. There was a good audience, and from the continuous applause and encores demanded it was evident that the performance was thoroughly enjoyed. The entertainment opened with an overture by the Seacliff Asylum Band; Miss Urquhart sang 'The girl I loved in sunny Tennessee'; Miss Findlay, ' Doreen,' and as an encore 'Coming through the rye'; Miss L. Coughlan recited 'Kissing Cup' and ' The Amateur Rider'; Mr F. Buckley, a favorite in this district, played a cornet solo; Mr E. Barnes secured an encore for his dancing of an'lrish jig; the first part of the entertainment being brought to a close by Mr F. Buckley singing 'By the waters.' The second part was the presentation of a drama entitled ' In Honor Bound,' in which Misses Coughlan and M'Donald and Messrs Barnes and Duffy took part. The hall was then cleared for dancing, which was kept up till 11.30, excellent music being supplied by the Seacliff Asylum Band.
