Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dnnedin, subject to any necessary alterations, as under:— Overland, North, daily, 10.20 a.m. Lata letters, 10.45; also on the mail van up to 11 &.m. Books and newspapers, 10 a.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage, Id. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6. For Northern Ports.—Per Westralia, at P ' m ' FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7. For Australian States (except Tasmania). —Per North express (to connect with the Westralia), at 10 a.m. NOTE. A post office is now open at Barewood, Otago Central. Mails despatched and received daily. The Papamu will leave Wellington for London via Monte "video and Teneriffe on the 6th, at 10 a.m. Correspondence to be specially addressed. Mails for Australian States, also South Africa, per s.s. Cornwall, will close at Lyttelton on the Bth, at Ip.m. Mails" for Barotonga and Tahiti close at Anekbtnd on the 25th, at 4 p.m. Mails for Fiji close at Auckland on the 26th, at 11 a.m. E. Cook, Chief Postmaster.
