NEW YORK, February 3. The escaped prisoners from the Pittsburg (Pennsylvania) Gaol were chased by the sheriff over thirty mile* of country, many shots being exchanged. Each of the brothers Biddell was wounded seven times. Mrs Soffel (the warder’s wife, who had eloped with the mnrderers) received three shots before she attempted to commit suicide. The BiddeQs are both dead.
