The Secretary of the Otago Education Board Avrote stating that the Board protested against the differentiation of sum? payable by holders of scholarships attending the Otago and Waitaki High Schools ami those attending ike district high schools . . . the differences being costs by fees and other expenses to attending the high schools.—Received. The consideration of the suggestion of the lady principal with regard to the alteration of school hours Avas _deferred. A letter was received from the Otago Education Board, notifying that they hao elected the Rsa-. W. Hewitson and the Rev. P. B. Fraser as their representatives -'ll the High Schools Board tor the current year.—Received. Mr C. H. Broad wrote tendering his resignation as assisiant master at the Boys’ High School, owing to his having received an appointment on tlie staff of the Nelson College.—Resignation accepted. A memo, was received from the secretary ot the Otago Education Board forwarding particulars of the scholarships recently awarded, and saying that in addition to ’he scholarships mentioned ten junior and thirteen senior scholarship candidates had qualified themselves to receive free education at the high schools for this year. A communication was rend from the rector of the boys’ school showing the results of the examinations for 1901. —Received. Reports Avere laid on the table from ! indirect or of the Hoys’ High School and tiie lady principal of the Girls’ of free pup,ls for the third term of 1901. A transfer of lease of section 16. block 5. Mokoreta district, from Peter Amos to A. P. Russell was consented to. A memo, was laid on the table by the secretary giving an approximate estimate of the expenditure for the year ending 31 s' December, 1902.
