With money yon can buy your way into society is true enough, and the rich Americans who hanker after the society of the British aristocracy know the pulling power of gold. There is no purl, of the world where a man or woman of ordinary attainments cannot buy his or her way. his one thing to get into society, but it is quite a, different matter to be a favorite. 'lhe pets of society have much to recommend them; there is a physical beauty, if not mental attractiveness, and physical beauty involves the buoyancy of sound, good health.
