The members present at yesterday's meeting were Professor Sale, Dr Burns, iJr Sband, Mr Jas. Alien, M.H.R. (in the chair), and Mr T. K. Sidey, M.H.R. LAW EXAMINATIONS. An informal discussion took place in regard to the LL.B. examinations, ami Mr 'J'. K. Sidey, M.H.R. intimated that lie would recommend to the Senate of the University as follows : —ln the case of candidates inverting the order of their examinations, they shad only be required i<> pass in at least four of the subjects pre scribed for what is known as the third examination, which four subjects must include two of the following ; —Contracts and torts, real and personal property, and equity. FRENCH LECTURER. As tltere was no quorum, the appointment of French lecturer was left over to next meeting of the Council.
