SENSATIONAL GAOL ESCAPE.

NEW YORK, February 2. (Received February 3, at 9.10 a.m.)
Mrs Soffel, wife of a warder in Pittsburg Gaol, chloroformed her husband, armed two brothers named Edward and John Biddell, who were imprisoned for murder, and enabled them to escape in a sleigh, herself eloping with Edward Biddell. The sheriff overtook the party and shot the brothers (who refused to surrender) dead. Mrs Soffel then committed suicide.
