CONTINGENT WORK.
TO I'HE EriTPR. Sir,—lt is to be hoped the saddlers in Otago will get a larger share of the Contingent work than hitherto, as only twentyfive saddles, bridles, etc., Avere made here for the Eighth. Mark the difference: the North Island got 975 saddles, etc., out of the thousand. I trust our members of Parliament will bestir themselves, and see that we get our fair share for -the Ninth Contingent.—l am, etc., Journeyman Saddler. January 23. ,
