Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, subject to any necessary alterations, as -under:— ' Overland, North, daily, 10.20 a.m. Late letters, 10.45; also on the mail van up to 11 a.m. Books and newspapers, 10 a.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in. addition to the ordinary postage, Id.
SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25. For Northern Ports, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, Japan, Philippine Islands, United States of America, Canada, South America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, at 10 a.m. Book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. The above mail will close at the branch Post Offices, North Dnnedin and South Dunedin, and Boslyn—For letters at 9.30 a.m., and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 25th. At the Port Chalmers office at 8.45 a.m. on the 25th. Due in London October 26. Edjed. Cook, Chief Postmaster.
