Mr C. C. Graham, S.M., presided at tbe Magistrate's Court this morning, instead of, as usual, Mr E. H. Carew, S.M. The latter' magistrate is at Lawrence conduct- * inn the court pending the arrival of tho new magistrate, Mr O. Csrnickshank. Mr A. H. Cutler, of the Supreme Court office, was, prior to his departure for Wan<janui, the recipient of a presentation from the Law Debating Society and law stndenti in" Dunedin. \ Mr ,W. S. Hunter has come from Auckland to fill the clerkship at the Supremo Court office. Colonel Robin returns to Dunedin tomorrow.
