(Put UmnD Paxaa Assocutxok.] ' AUCKLAND, July 11. Two miners—F. Hawkins and A. Nelson —were severely injured by an explosion of gelignite in the Woodstock mine. The Norwegian barque Norden, bound from Cape Town to Fiji, was wrecked .on a reef at Suva on June 27. The hull has been purchased by the Union Steam Ship Company, but there is little hope of floating the vessel. Tukino, chief of tho Ngatituharetoa tribe, has left for Wellington with a fine model of a Maori carved house, which he presented to the Duke. Maori addresses will be placed inside the house, which is to bo shipped to London. ’ WELLINGTON, July 11. No judgments werp given in the Appeal Court to-day, but the Bench sat at the _ Supreme Court to hear a motion re granting a license to the Hotel Commonwealth at New Plymouth.
