EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS.
[Special to the Stab.] ARROWTOWN, January 23. There was a heavy shock of earthquaks here at two o'clock this morning. INVERCARGILL, January 25. A sharp earthquake was experienced here sshortly after one o'clock this morning.' The was W. to E., the duration nearly I'thirtv seconds. TAPANUI, January 23. A sharp shock of earthquake was felt here fat 1.30 this morning. The weather has since fbcen electrical, rain falling in torrents. The (region of the Pomahaka is flooded, but so 'faT no damage is reported.
