STEAM SERVICE TO SOUTH AFRICA. - SHIP OWNERS stating the SUBSIDY that would be required for a TWO (2) YEARS' SERVICE between NEW ZEALAND, WEST AUSTRALIA, and SOUTH AFRICA. The steamers would require totbo of from 3,000 to 4,000 tons register; and to have suitable REFRIGEBATING ACCOMMODATION for the Conveyance of FROZEN MEAT and DAIRY PRODUCE. It is also desirable that PASSENGER ACCOMMODATION should be provided, and applicants will be required to state what passenger accommodation would be available. The steamers to leave Now Zealand about once every Six (6) Weeks; steamers calling at not less than .Three (3) nor more than Six (6) New Zealand Ports, such ports to be named in the conditions of contract. From the final port the steamers would proceed to Eremantle, Westralia, and thence to Durban, East Loudon, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town.
