MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
There was a good attendance at the meeting of the Allfaucß Lodge, 1.0. G.T., on Wednesday. The harmony was of an enjoyable character, and the addreanes given by Bro. Grant (of Palmer at on) and Bro. South .(of Green, Island) were interesting. Bro. South,.who has been an abstainer, for orer fifty years, contrasted the position of the.movement then with the present time. Representatives of the visiting lodges responded for the visitors. The half-yearly meeting of Enterprise Lodge, U.A.0.D.. was held in the Friendly Societies' Hall, South Danedin, on Thursday evening; V.A. Bro. G. R»ekley presiding. D.P. Bro. W. J. Brown and D.P. Bro. B. Reed were announced, and received with Druidio honors; P. A. Bro. Orohard and P.A. Bro. W. A. Drury were nominated for the position of D.P. Bros. G. P. Btowart, Knox, and Wardrop were nominated as Grand Lodge representatives. Receipts, £IOO.
