Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY. July 18. (Received July 18, at 10 a.m.) In order to test whether the Government would be justified in granting the franchise to women the following motion was discussed;—“ That the suffrage be not conceded till a majority of the women, by means of the referendum, desire it.” The motion was negatived by 47 to 10.
