The Works Committee recommend, re the application for metalling Vogel and Gordon streets, that the opinion of the Board's solitor be obtained as to tlwir liability in the matter. | ; LATE SHIPPING. The Wanaka will load at Timaru on Monday, the 2nd prow, and Oamaru on the ord. for Sydney. The Pukaki will load at the Bluff oh Monday, the 2nd prox., Oamam the 3rd, and Timaru the 4th, for Auckland. EXPECTED STRAMKR ARRIVALS TO-MORROW. t The Te Anati, 'from Auckland via East Coast ports, should reach Port Chalmers about 8 a.m., where she will stay for about half an hour, and then come to town.
