In view of the divided opinions araon» the Premiers re the proposod conference Mr M'Lean consulted the Cabinet as to ' the best course to adopt with regard to the revisal of clause 74, when it was decided to ask the Premiers to consent to sending a cable to Mr Barton asking him, in view of the difficulty in understanding the proposed ampndmonts, and the possibility ofnmkfng things wors-i than as first drafted, to urge the passing of the Commonwealth Bill in the form it was sent Home. ' . MELBOURNE, June 14 Premier Holder concurs in the sending of a joint cable to Mr Barton advocating the passing of the Commonwealth Bill attended, but he opposes the alternative suggestion that Mr CbambGikm's origiual amendment to clause 74 should be made. • BRISBANE - June 13. Mr Philp says that when Federation is accomplished each province will want its own way in matters affecting the interests of the others, and that each is bound to hold different views. He is strongly of opinion that it would be better for "all to be in a position to refer disputes to a tribunal outside Australia.
