Pr«si Association—By Telegraph —Copyright. LONDON. June 13. At the annual meeting of the P. and 0. Company Mr Sutherland, chairman of directors, stated that two-third* of the coal consumed on the company's steamers was beiug withdrawn from India, Japan, and Australia. He expressed the opinion that the mercantile marine might have transported in the samo period double the contingent they actually Bent to South Africa. He predicted an early settlement of the trouble in China. If politics were not allowed to interfere with cowimerce China was one of the best fields for trade in the work!.
