An international prize of £4,000 ia offered bj a French donor to the aeronaut who, with a balloon or any other deacription of airship, will start from the headquarters of the Airo Club in Paris, pass round the Eiffel Tower, and return to the. starting point within half an hour. The offer is to remain open for five years. The oldest pariah clerk in England, Mr .John Lumb, has died at the age of ninety-five. For seventy years he had been parish cleric at Reednoss, near Goole, and had sung in the choir of the Whitegift Church.
