Mails close at the Chief Post Office. Dunedin (subject to any necessary alterations), as under: Overland, North, doily, 10.20 a.m. Late letters, 10.45; also on the mail van up to 11 a.m. Books and newspapers, 10 a.m. Late-lee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage—ld for inland letters, 2d for letters for Australia and the South Sea Islands, and 2Jd for all other places. This Day (Satuuday), April 21. For Northern Ports.—Per Waikare. at 7.30 p.m. Monday, April 23. For Northern Ports —Per We,tralia. at 1.30 p.m. Late letters. Port train, 2.30. For Australian Colonies, India, China. Ceylon, Straits Settlements, South Africa, Mediterranean Ports, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc.—Per North express (to connect with the Waikare), at 10 a.m. Due in London on June 5. Tuesday, April 24. For Grey mouth, and West Coast.—Per North express, to connect with the Rosamond at Lyttelton, at 10.20 a.m. Wednesday, April 25. The Gothic will leave Lvtteltun for London via Rio do Janeiro and TenerifTe on the 20th. Correspondence, specially addressed, will close at this office on the 2fith, at 10 20 a.m. Parcels for the United Kingdom, etc., at 9.30. Duo in London on June (i. Mails from Melbourne, per Gulf of Siam, for Natdl and Capo Town, on the 27th ihst. Mails for Natal and Cape Town, from Melbourne, per Wilcannia, on the 30th. Mails tor Fiji, pir Taviuni, will close at Auckland on the 25tb, at 4 D.m. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Monapouri, will close at Auckland on 2nd May, at 4 p.m. NOTICE. As offices despatching mails for South Africa will in future make up a special mail for each of the New Zealand Contingents, the public are advised to address letters clearly to the No. 1,2. 3, 1, or 5 Contingent, as the ■ case may be.
