TO INVESTORS IN - DREDGING SHARES. The directors of the Zealaudia Syndicate, Limited, having had their attention drawn to the fact that some of the West Coast dredging areas will be unworkable on account of buried timber being present in the ground, and others on account of very large quantities of black sand being mixed with the wash, wish it to be distinctly understood that their mining experts Messrs John Don and Norman K. Sligo, have had special instructions not to take up any cptions where, these conditions are supposed to exist. It may not be out of place to mention that the. directors of the Syndicate have already refused options over several undoubtedly rich claims, which, in their experts’ opinion, cannot be profitably worked bv present date machinery and gold-saying appliances on account of these drawbacks. One of the main objects of the Zealaudia Syndicate is to put on the market sound properties, well prospected, and approved by thoroughly reliable mining experts, so that the public may look upon the money invested in the companies floated by this Syndicate more as a genuine investment than a pure speculation. The properties already floated by the Syndicate are; Ahaura River Gold Dredging Company, Grey River Consolidated Gold Dredging Company, Orwell Greek Gold Dredging Company, Erickson’s Reward Gold Dredging Company, all c£ which command a premium. The successful flotation of Watterson’s Consols and Trafalgar Claims, now on the market, is also assured. The Syndicate also bold options over several other reputedly rich areas on the West Coast, which are now being thoroughly tested, and will in due course be placed before the public if they prove to be rich in the precious motal. Anyone investin'* in any of these properties can therefore look forward with confidence to securin'* a Genuine investment that will yield good returns for the capital invested. ° ° Dunedin, February 5, 1900. D. LESLIE, Secretary to Zealaudia Syndicate.
