MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
At Port (Jhalmera on Friday P.C.R. \V. G. Fail was presented by the members of Court Robin Hood, A.0.F., with a gold watch, pendant, and gladetone bag aa a mark of esteem and recognition of nia services as secretary of the court. At the last weekly meeting of the Pioneer of Dunedin Lodge, 1.0. G.T., C.T. Bro. Innes presiding, one member was admitted on clearance card and two candidates were duly initiated. After a short recess the lodge went into harmony. Piano solos were contributed by Sis. M'Gregor and Bro. Himell. wmgs by .Sis. Gillam and Sis. M'Farlane and Bros. .Mackie, M'Kirday, M'Connell, awl Robertson; and recitations by Bros. W. Mills and G. Barnett. A hearty vote (if thanks was accorded the visitors and those who had contributed to the harmony, and responded to by Bros. M'Kinlay (Lily of the Valley), Clarkson (Hope of Caversham) Strachan, jun. (Star of Roslvn), and Whale (Star of Freedom). The fortnightly meeting of the Ruth Rebekan Lodge, 1.0.0. F., was held in the Albany street Hall on Thursday, the P.fl.G. (Sis. Chapman) in the chair. There was a record attendance of members. Three candidates were proposed for membership During recess a song was contributed by Sis. Chn-kson and a, recitation by Sis L Bremner. The Linda Rebekah visited officially The G.M. (Bro. Crichton) introduced the P.G. Sire of Australasia (Bro Williams). The following Grand Lodge officers visited for the purpose of installing the officers for the current term:—G.Al Bro. Crichton (acting), G.W. Bro. W. Reid (acting), G,S. Bro. Pattison (acting), G Treas. Bro. C. M'Peafc. The following officers were installed :—N.G., Sis. Wilkinson; V.G., Sis. Harst; secretary, Sis. L. Bremner; treasurer, Sis. M. Reid ; warden, Sis. A. Reid ; conductor, Sis. E. Rxmciman •' chaplain, Sis. Crichton; 1.G., Sis Morrison: 0.G.. Sis. Hinklev; R.S.N.G., Sis A. Cavaimgh ; L.S.N.G., Sis. L. Cavnnagh • R S.V.G., Sis. Irvine; L.S.V.G., Sis. Clarkm'ii Sis .Aiild, N.G. (Linda), responded lor the visitors.
The meeting of the Miriam Rebekah Lodce was hold m the Friendly Societies' Hall, South Dunedin, on Monda.v. The N.G (Sis. Chapman) was in the chair. The report of the success of the picnic was received. One candidate was pronosed for membership. It was resolved to invite the members of Unity Lodge to a social evening, and to visit the Linda Rebekah LooVe officially. During recess the following items were rendered:—Piano solo, Sis. Hardy ; song, Sis. Lnscombe ; duet, Sis! Hardy and Sutton ; song, Sis. Campbell ; duct. Sis. Sutton and Chapman • duct, Sis'. Sherwood and Westwood ; and several items by the- choir. Bro. Kemnitz visited officially, and responded on behalf of t.'»a visitors.
