AMUSEMENTS.
The secret of Mr Fuller's success at the Alhambra Theatre is unquestionably the ripidity with which he changes his artistes. The last bitch include the Leslie brothers (3), and the hearty reception they bad last night showed that they have alreadv become prime favorites in Dunedin. Nor is this to be wondered at, for while we have had many clever all-round exponents of musical instruments and irick players in Dunedin—both in the circus arena and on the platform—it is queatiouableVjvhether the equals of the Leslies have been seen here. Their " turn " is amusing in the extreme, and undoubtedly enjoyable from a musical point of view. Mr Fuller can rely on the present profitable business continuing during the tenancy of the present variety company. The Valdares made their third appearance in this City last night, and were accorded a flittering reception. The trick" cycling is undoubtedly the feature of their entertainment ; but there are many other items of an acceptable character. The announcement that the season is limited to this week is perfectly genuiae, ao the tour of the colony is a rapid one. The Valdares appear at Oamaru on Monday next, and atTimaru two nights later.
