POST OFFICE MAIL NOTICE.

Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subject to any necessary alterations), as under : Overland, North, daily, 10.20 a.m. Late letten, 10.45; also on the mail van up to 11 a.m. Books and newspapers, 10 a.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage—ld for inland letter*, 2d for letters for Australia and the South Sea Islands and 2jd for all other places. Thursday, February 1. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies (except Tasmania).—Per Mokoia, at 3 p.m. Friday-, Fkhuary 2. For Lyttclton and Christchurch.-Per Flora at 2 p.m. ' THE VANCOUVER SERVICE. Thursday, February 1. For C.inadu, United States, West Indies, Japan, Philippine Islands, United Kingdom, Europe, et-.' —Per Mokoia (to connect with the Vancouver steamer at Sydney), at 3 p.m. Due in London 14th March. Mails for Cromarty, Puysegur Point, and Te Onoroa, will close at Invercargill on the Ist February at 12.30 p.m. Mails for South Africa, per Claverdon, will close at Lyttelton on the 3rd February, at S p.m. Mails for Natal and Cape Town, from Melbourne, per Australasian, February 21. : The Ot.arama will leave Lyttelton for London via Monte Video, on the olJth, at 3 p.m. NOTICE. As offices depatching mails for South Africa will in future make UP a special mail for the New Zealand Second Contingent, as well as the First Contingent, the public arc advised to address letters clearly to the No. 1 or No. 2 Contingent, as tin; case may be.
