MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

W. A. Scott v. J. Grounds (YVaipori). Claim, £3 17s, on a judgment summons. Mr Moore appeared for, judgment creditor, and debtor, who did not appear, was given until January 22 to par the amount, with 5s costs, in default four days' imprisonment. C. W. H. Spears v. Edward Charles Ross! —Claim, £6 ss, on a judgment summons. Mr Solomon appeared for judgment creditor. —An order was made for the payment of £6 5s and 10s costs at the rate of 5s per week, in default seven days' imprisonment. Ada M'Laughlan v. J. H. Brown.—Claim, £5 19s 6d, on. a judgment summons.—Mr Finch appeared for judgment creditor, and there was no appearance of debtor, who was' ordered to pay the amount claimed, with costs, on January 22, in default sis,days' imprisonment.
Andrew Given v. John M'Keague (Ashburton).—Claim, £53 14s 6d, on a dishonored promissory note.—Mr Moore appeared for plaintiff, for whom judgment was given "for the amount claimed, with £6 5s costs.
