Some large estates were proved at Melbourne recently. That of the late Mrs Anna Nicholas, of Toorak House, Toorok w ■ valued at £240,000, of which £2lO 000 is realty and £30,000 personalty. The'whole of the estate was divided among the six sons of the deceased. The will oE the late Mr John M'Phee, of Ballarat, was sworn it £09,385, which was bequeathed to the next of kin. A call has been made, under the Civl berriee Officers'GuanibteD Act, for £1,159, owing to the embcrsleroont of stamp monev bv an officer of the Stamp Departmtnt. The guarantee of the defaulter was £3oo*.
