Lamb : Prime Canterbury, 4d ; lair average (including Dutiedin, Southland, Wellington, and secondary Canterbury), 3|d ; Kiver Plate, unchanged. "Hides ate in stroag demand, and there is a general advance of a farthing. Queensland heavy ox realised 6|d; New South Wales heavy, 5f d. Australian leather and basils are dull.
The hemp market is slow. Fair Wellington October aud December shipments, £35 10s.
Pearl shell is in good demand. Australian has generally declined ss; Fiji advanced 10s.
Silver, 2s per oz.
