Sir,— At a recent meeting Mr Scobie Mackenzie told us that to give an account of his stewardship was easy, for the last session had resolved itself into the Old Age Pension Bill, that Bill was opposed by him. Yet a partisan with no sense of humor declared that Mr bcobie Mackenzie had done woman's work m Parliament. Mr Millar showed a close acquaintance with the work of Parliament, and gave many interesting facts which had received no attention from the senior member for the City. The Leader of the Opposition declares that he can have no policy until he captures the Treasury, but Mr George Hutchison discloses a pohcy for h\s chief when the spirit of Bun i, UC ri 1S as a roc l wherewith to blacken the Government. Fancy a leader of the Opposition with “Purity” his cry secretly courting the lowest class of Chinese as his assistants! Referring to the marine scandal, Parliament n ° doubt see that justice is done.
