Entertained at a banquet at Puy (Haute Loire), Premier Vupuy said the AngloFrench Convention secured to France a promising empire in Africa. The Agents-General of the various colonies have been invited to co-operate in holding a representative banquet on the Queen's Birthday. The Helsingfora (Finland) newspapers have been suspended for thirty to sixty fays.
It is anticipated that the Victorian rail* way revenue will show a farther inoreaflß this year of a quarter of a million, making an increase for two years of nearly half a million.
