A PITIFUL CASE. to thb Borrou. Sib, —As complainant in the case Gore v. Gore I wish to correct a few statements regarding the evidence given in court about my drinking habits. I challenge my husband or any other penoo as to my drinking habits or bad companions'. I wish the publio to know that I never expressed a wish to go back to my husband ; I have witnesses and letters to prove that. I defy him to say that he ever broke up his home for me. When I was in service he would not let me stop. Mr O&rew did not warn m 9 concerning my drinking habits, as stated by my husband's counsel.—l am, etc., Elizabeth Gobb. Danedin, April 8.
