THE WAIKAKAHI SALE.

Danedin buyers were very much in evidence at the sale of horses which formed yesterday's part of the programme. The forty-seven draught horses were disposed of at prices ranging from £75 to £7, the total for the section being £1,247. Twenty light horses ranged in price from £27 to £9, the total being £279. A large number of hacks were''offered, and prices varying between £3 and £lO, while good yearling colta and fillies brought up to £lO in several cases. On Wednesday night blankets were handed out to some 500 men, who slept in the woolsheds, stables, and in every other possible place abont the homeBtead.
