That your Petitioner was, on the Fifteenth day of February, 1883. lawfully married to Ellen Jane Strahan (then Ellen Jane Donne, spinster) at the office of the Registrar of Marriages, Auckland. 2. That after the said marriage your Petitioner lived and cohabited with his said wife at Auckland, and that your Petitioner and his said wife have had issue of their said marriage Two Children—to wit, William Alfred Robert, born on the Seventh day of January, 1884, and George Jabez Henry, born on the Sixth day of June, 1885. one of whom, the said George Jabez Henry, is dead. 3. That, on or about the 23rd day of August, 1893, the said Ellen Jane Stranan committed adultery with one Jabez Armour at the residence of your Petitioner, in Hobson street, Auckland. 4. That, immediately thereafter, the said Ellen Jane Strahan left the house oi your Petitioner, and your Petitioner is informed, and verily believes, that she then left Auckland in company with the said Jabez Armour. 5.
