One witness had asserted thst •■v.-rybody but himself had been to blame for allowing Heathcote to travel or to go out to 'he car platform. The evidence now called was to the effect that while Heathcote showed signs of liquor he was neither -tepid nor incapable. In fact, before the ■rain started he called at the traffic office to arrange for a new ticket, his season expiring with that journey.
