Tho censure motion tabled by Mr Burton was negatived by 63 to 40, This large majority was due to the Labor members and a majority of the representatives of the sugar district voting with the Government. At a caucus of tho Labor party it was decided that, while supporting tho Government in the present crisis, the party would oppose tho taxes on tea, rice, coffee, and chicory when they came before the House. ADELAIDE, November 17. (Received November 17,1898, at 10.10 a.m.) The Workmen’s Compensation. Bill has been introduced in the Legislative Assemby. It is based on the Imperial Act.
