SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. GBANdB v. CarisbrooK. The chief feature of the above'match on Saturday vli undoubtedly the fine batting of J. Biker, who played a most stubborn innings. for 50, treating all the bowlers alike, and scoring freely iff looee balls. He saw eight of his fellow-batsmen disposed ; of, when he lifted one from Harkness, which was well tiken by Thomson in the long-field. The only other batsmen to reach double figures were Parker 413), Bant (12), and Lawlor (12, not out). The latter, who took the' place of A. Downes, showed some of his old form, and was scoring rapidly nhen stumps were drawn owing to the rain. Tho Orange have thus lost nine wickets for 119 runs, and next Saturday should see a very close finish on the North Ground. Harknesb'a fast balls were very destructive in the bad light, he capturing five wickets for 28 runs. Scores:—
