MASONIC.
A conclave of Rose Croix Masons was opened at the Freemasons' Hall, Moray place, on Saturday evening, the business being the installation of the officers of the Sphinx Rose Croix Chapter, holding under warrant from the Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree for Scotland. In the unavoidable absence of 111. Bro. T; S. Graham, 33 degree, inspector-general for New Zealand, the ceremonies were effectively carried out by M.W. Comp. C. De L. Graham, Who installed Comp. G. Barclay in the chair of M.W-S., and invested the following officers, viz.: Prelate, Comp. J. Robertson; S.W., Comp. C. Robertson; J.W., Comp. J. C. Ponsonby; G.M., Comp. J. L. Ferguson; C. of G., Comp. J. Mills; R., Comp. J. Fogo; Chancellor, Comp. H. Calder; Conductor, Comp. J. Nisbet. The various services and addresses having been carried out in accordance with the usageß of Rosicrucian Masonry, the M.W.S. returned thanks for the honor conferred on him. -i Lodge of Perfection was afterwards formed, and one' candidate admitted to the l|}th Degree.
