THE NAUTICAL FESTIVAL.

The attendance on Saturday evening was again very large, it being especially difficult for the late comers to obtain a view of the spectacular display. Those lucky enough to obtain favorable positions, however, were very pleased with what they saw, and, although extremely late in the evening before the minuet was danced, a large number waited to witness it. The Committee, feeling justified .by the patronage hitherto afforded the festival, have decided to carry on the show until the end of the week, The art union drawing will take place next Saturday evening; and all blocks should be handed in by Saturday morning. In our previous notices mention was omitted of a beautiful silk banner screen, worked and presented by the sisters of the Convent of Mercy, South Dunedin.
