Malls close at the Chief Port Office, Dunodln (subject to any necessary alterations), as under : Overland, North, daily, 10.20 a.m. Late letters, 10.45 a.m., also on the mail van up to 11 a.m. Books and newspapers. 10 a.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage—ld for inland letters, 2d for letters for Australia and the South Sea Islands, Sid for all other places. Saturday, October 8. For Northern Ports. Per Ilotorua, at 7.30 p.m. Mails for Fiji, per Upolu, will close at Auckland on the 12th October, at 4 p.m. Mails for the Cape, per Lund's liner Karruug, will leave Melbourne on the 14th October. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji will close at Auckland on the 19th October, at 4 p.m. Mails for South Africa, per Aberdeen. liner Nineveh, will close at Melbourne on the 20th October. • Mails for Cromarty, Puysegur, and Te Oneroa will close at Invercargill on the tlth October, at 4 p.m. Monthly tables of ocean mail services may be purchased at the Chief Post Office at Id each, or at Is per annum.
