The weekly meiting of the Otago (brown Lauds Board, held to-day, was attended by Mr J. P. Maitland (Chief Commissioner) and Messrs H. Clark, W. Dallas, J. Duncan, and H. H. Kirkpatrick. Ranger Hughan forwarded an application from A. Wilson to cut timber at West Wanaka, Daniels Creek.—Consideration deferred.

Applications for land under the Land for Settlements Act were approved'as follow: —Henry Fletcher, allotments 9 and 11, Puketapu Estate; J. F. Rowland, allotment 8, Teaneraki Estate; and F. W- Venn, section 65} block 8, Moeraki district (Makareoa). Ranger Atkinson forwarded a valuation of the improvements upon section 19, block 8, Tokarahj Estate. A. G. Sutherlbfl 1 applied to occupy the section in the meantime.— Section to be reopfnei, with valuation for improvements (£22|. Mr Sutherland’s application declined. John Thompson applied on behalf of Helen DunijAwski to purchase an area of two acres adjoining sections ilB and 121, block 19, Tuapeka East district.—Purchase approved, at a capital value of £2 10a per acre; survey fees to be lodged. Charles Hood applied for a license to occupy an area of la 2r in block 2), Hawks bm> Town.—Declined; the mayor to be informed that the laud in question is not a reserve, and that the Board intend having it and other portions of unsurveyed land surveyed and offered to the public.
