SYDNEY, October 6. (Received October 5,1898, at 9.20 a.m.) Mr Anderson, managing director of the Christchurch Freezing Works, is on a visit to Sydney trying to arrange for the co-operation of New Zealand and Australian meat exporters to place tbe industry on a sounder footing. In the course of an interview ho stated that he desired to overcome the difficulties of the heavy insurance charges on so-called damaged cargoes. He strongly urged the necessity of paving the cobtrol of stores in London, so that tbe meat might be under the supervision of the growers and freezing companies until put on tbe market. He also urges the extending of distribution to the provinces.
