Mr C. S. Reeves reports a return of 340z 17dwt gold from the Enterprise dredge for this week. Our Cromwell correspondent wires that the Alpine dredge (Riley's Beach) got 760z for the week,

Mr Skene reports: This glorious spring weather should please even chronic grumblers. The demand is large for station and farm hands, and there is no trouble with the right sort, and employers don’t grudge a good wage to trained workers.
